NG 32 Concession, eastern Okavango Delta
The luxurious suites feature a bedroom, en-suite bathroom and viewing deck. A unique feature are the mobile four-poster bed giving guests the opportunity to sleep under the stars. The public areas at Baines Camp include an oversized deck for outdoor dining and with views over the permanent water of the lagoon as well as a swimming pool with 2 thatched shelters on either side.
Baines Camp is situated in a superb game viewing area and game drives are conducted in 4 X 4 vehicles and early morning and late afternoon or as otherwise requested (subject to availability). Due to Baines Camp being situated on a private concession, night drives are available and are usually combined with the afternoon activity. Walking Safaris are conducted within the concession. Other activities at Baines Camp include mokoro (canoe) safaris, allowing guests to explore the waterways.
Additional activities at Baines Camp include elephant interaction. The elephants, adopted by Sandi and Doug Groves, provide guests at Baines Camp the opportunity to go walking in the bush with the semi-habituated elephants. This gives the opportunity to see elephants up close, foraging and wallowing in the lagoons.
