Tsau Hills

On a private concession in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, at the foot of Tsau Hills, this camp promises awe-inspiring views over this semi-arid region. Tsau will offer an active desert experience, with day and night game drives, horseback riding, walking as well as fly camping – allowing guests to fully explore the concession. A great opportunity to get up close and personal on foot in the Kalahari.

Tsau Hills is a new camp due to open in 2021 and will be set on a 40,000-hectare private concession in the spectacular Central Kalahari Game Reserve, an area which makes a great contrast to the Okavango. The desert environment is home to very different animals. Kalahari species that you are likely to find include Brown Hyena, Kalahari black-maned Lions, Aardwolves, Aardvark, Oryx, Bat-eared Foxes and Springbok. Cheetahs roam here as do zebra, kudu, elephant and giraffe as well as a myriad of various reptile species.

Tsau Hills aims to offer an affordable luxury safari, with seven luxury rooms and three family suites ideal for families with younger travellers. The scenic landscape unfurls below the raised rooms arranged around a main area. The camp is solar powered in line with protecting the natural surrounding environment of the Kalahari.

Guided morning and afternoon walks yield a variety of different species specially adapted to this ecosystem. Choose between a short horseback safari or an exciting 2-3-day outride into the heart of the concession where ‘’home’’ for the evenings will be under a sky of brilliant stars and dinner over the fire while you rehearse the day’s adventures. Guided game drives provide guests with a wealth of information on this specialized area and its inhabitants.
