This popular group of mid-range and luxury camps offers a full range of accommodation options, from smart luxury tented camps such as Kwara Camp to more simple, affordable lodges such as Moremi Crossing and Gunns Camp. Their traditional style camps are based in well regarded concessions and combine nicely to deliver a well-rounded safari experience.

Kwando operate from five private concessions, one of the most diverse portfolio of camps. The concessions include Pom Pom in western Okavango, Gunns and Moremi Crossing in the central Okavango, Santawani in the Southern Okavango, Kwara in the eastern Okavango and Kwando in the Linyanti, northern Botswana.

From these concessions Kwando provide first rate safaris in some of the richest game regions of Botswana. These vast concessions allow guests undisturbed and more flexible game viewing, with off-roading and night drives.

Pom Pom Camp is a very popular mid-range tented camp set on the beautiful Pom Pom private concession in the western Okavango. Gunns Camp and Moremi Crossing provide simple accommodation for a more affordable water safari in the central Okavango. In the east, Kwara Camp and Splash Camp, lie on the large and game rich Kwara private concession. One of the oldest camps in the Okavango Kwara Camp was rebuilt and remerged as a fresh luxury tented camp, while Splash Camp is the newest camp in the portfolio, opening in 2019.

Lagoon Camp and Lebala Camp are set in the huge Kwando Concession in the Linyanti, known particularly for its superb dry season game viewing with huge elephant herds and good predator numbers. It is especially known for the wild dog packs. The game viewing is consistent and high quality

The group’s latter additions Nxai Pan Camp and Tau Pan Camp are situated in national parks, the Nxai Pan National Park and in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. These are however some of the most remote national parks in Botswana and offer a comfortable way of seeing these very special regions.

North of the Makgadikgadi salt pans Nxai Pan forms part of the great fossil pan system the bed of an ancient super lake fed by the Okavango, Zambezi and Kwando rivers. Tau Pan in the arid Kalahari Desert is home to a diverse population of both flora and fauna perfectly adapted to their harsh environment. These two camps are the perfect foil to the lush Okavango Delta.
