Day by Day Itinerary
On arrival in Kasane, Botswana the gateway to the Chobe National Park you will be met by Chobe Game Lodge who will transfer you to the lodge situated within the park and overlooking the Chobe River. You will stay for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Chobe Game Lodge is one of Botswana’s original safari lodges but has kept up to date with its latest refurbishment in 2016. There is a strong focus on sustainable tourism with the lodge operating a unique fleet of electric game drive vehicles and boats.

Chobe National Park is home to herds of elephant, numbering in the thousands, and is arguably the best place in the world to watch these giants. There are also healthy populations of buffalo, with lion, leopard and even the endangered wild dog frequently seen. Game cruises by boat will encounter large pods of hippo, large, seemingly lazy crocodiles and any number of animals coming down to the river to drink.

Birdlife in the Chobe is unparalleled, with more than 450 species, many of which are regional specials, including the rock pratincole, African skimmer, rosy-throated longclaw and Schalow’s turaco. The majestic African fish eagle abounds and flocks of brightly coloured bee-eaters nest along the river banks.

This morning after your morning activity and breakfast you will depart on a light charter flight to Savute airstrip at the heart of the National Park where you will be picked up by game drive vehicle for your transfer to Savute Safari Lodge. This lodge overlooks the mysterious Savute Channel and is well known for the bachelor herds of elephant which frequent the channel in front of the lodge.

The Savute region itself is known for fascinating sightings of predator interaction with herds drawn to the area by the marsh and fertile plains. The region supports healthy populations of buffalo, with lion, leopard and even the endangered wild dog are frequently seen.

Early this morning after your morning activity and light breakfast, time permitting, you will leave Savute and depart to Camp Okavango, a water camp in the Shinde Concession of the Okavango Delta where you will stay for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Water-based game-viewing activities are conducted by experienced professional guides who will expertly navigate guests through the many meandering, reed-lined waterways. Roam the vast expanses of water from the comfort of a modern motorboat or explore the intricacies of the Okavango Delta the old fashioned way, in the traditional contours of the Mokoro (canoe).

Early this morning after your morning activity and light breakfast, time permitting, you will leave Camp Okavango and depart to its sister camp Camp Moremi where you will stay for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Camp Moremi offers a broad range of safari activities on both land and water. For many guests, the highlight of their stay comes during the morning and afternoon game drives. Conducted in open 4×4 safari vehicles, the exhilarating game drives provide the chance to track wildlife in the beautiful surroundings of Moremi Game Reserve, a protected area renowned for frequent sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah. African Wild Dog sightings are also regularly reported, an endangered species whose numbers are rapidly dwindling in other areas.

Early this morning after your morning activity and light breakfast, time permitting, you will leave Camp Moremi and fly out of the Okavango Delta to Leroo La Tau on the banks of the Boteti River where you will stay for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Activities include scheduled game drives by day and night and, dependant on water levels, boat activities on the Boteti River. By arrangement guided nature walks of the surrounding area can also be arranged. Leroo La Tau has a close relationship with the local community and optional cultural excursions can also be arranged to visit and observe contemporary life at Khumaga Village. It should be noted that due to their location within the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the Makgadikgadi Pans themselves are not visited on daily scheduled activities from Leroo La Tau.

After your morning activity and breakfast, you will check out of Leroo La Tau on time for your charter flight to Maun Airport.
