Little Kwara borders Moremi Game Reserve, on the huge and game rich Kwara Concession in the eastern Okavango Delta. With some of the finest game viewing in the Okavango, the Kwara concession is made up of a variety of habitats which ensures rich and varied game viewing. Importantly, both land and water based activities are offered year round. An intimate and luxurious tented camp, Little Kwara offers a vintage safari with superb guiding.
Little Kwara is situated on the 1,750km2 Kwara Concession, a huge wilderness shared with just 2 other camps run by the same operator, Kwando Safaris, ensuring an exctremly exclusive safari. With permanent waters Little Kwara can offer land and water based activities year round. Game drives explore the concession both by day and night with Kwando Safaris particularly known for the quality of their guides. Uniquely in the Okavango, a tracker joins yuor guide on each of the game drives, doubling the professional eyes on the look out for those exceptional sightings.
Game walks are also available and offer guests the opportunity to experience the vastness of the African bush and provide the perfect way to see some of the Okavango Delta’s smaller creatures. Mokoro and powerboat excursions explore the waterways of the concession with fishing offered in season (spinning equipment is provided but fly fisherman need to bring their own equipment).
Similar to Kwara, Little Kwara is known for its consistent sightings of predators. Herds of elephants also frequent the area, as well as giraffe, zebra, sitatunga, lechwe, impala and hippos. Wild dogs have also been seen in the concession although less frequently than the northern camps. Little Kwara offers all the activities one expects in an exclusive concession in the Okavango Delta – day and night drives, game walks, power boating, mokoro trips and fishing (The camp provides basic spinning tackle, but fly fishermen need to bring their equipment).
