Access to the main lodge areas is made possible by a series of winding sandy walkways which culminate in an open plan lounge -cum dining area complete with an all-copper designed bar perfect for guests wanting to enjoy sundowners after the heat of the day begins to wane.

Divided into two camps of 9 suites each alongside each side of the private River House , one finds an exceptionally well-stocked wine cellar further enhanced by an extensive collection of diecast toys. Private dinners in the wine cellar can be arranged beforehand at time of booking.

A 25m infinity pool overlooking the river, an on-site spa, and a well – equipped gym centre is available for utilization by guests. Matetsi River Lodge is just 40 kms from Victoria Falls, and it is possible to arrange some of the more extreme adrenalin- filled activities from here such as white- water rafting, bungee jumps or helicopter flights, but these will be charged separately. For wine connoisseurs a private dinner in the impressive wine cellar is called for.
